What have we been doing in 2018

As we wrap up another remarkable year here at StoneFly, we can’t help but take a quick trip down memory lane. Last year, we added three products to our diverse range of enterprise-level solutions: CDR365, StoneWAN and VSO™ appliance series. In this article, we’ll be going over the three products we introduced in 2018.

CDR365™ – Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution

CDR365 is an online cloud backup solution that automates data backup to secure cloud storage like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud and to StoneFly private cloud. CDR365 application combines easy to use interface with a powerful functionality making a disaster recovery plan simple, reliable, and affordable.

Users can backup Windows server, Linux server/CLI, MS SQL server, MS exchange and other enterprise applications and workloads. CDR365 can also backup Virtual Machines (VMs) hosted on Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESX/ESXi hypervisors. The backup software is compatible with Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems.

CDR365 facilitates IT administrators to setup the 3-2-1 rule for data protection. The backup software can be used to setup backups in on-premises infrastructure, off-site infrastructure, and/or in the cloud. CDR365 facilitates businesses to setup industry compliant backup solutions. The backup software can be used to setup compliance with regulations like HIPAA, HITRUST, FedRAMP, CJIS and more.

StoneWAN – WAN Accelerator | Bandwidth Accelerator

StoneFly StoneWAN is an easy to use WAN accelerator that brings “LAN-like performance” to applications and operations running on WAN. One of the best applications of StoneWAN is for large enterprises with a number of remote branch offices. Moving large chunks of data on regular networks can take up a lot of resources and time. The addition of StoneFly StoneWAN optimizes bandwidth usage and speeds up data transfer rates by approximately 100x times.

StoneFly StoneWAN gets maximum throughput from a WAN link, without increasing the capacity of the physical link. StoneWAN facilitates data transfers for cloud-to-cloud, local-to-cloud, and cloud-to-local operations – including data sharing and backup applications.

VSO™ appliance series – Storage, Backup and Disaster Recovery Appliances

The VSO appliance series was the last addition to StoneFly’s product series in 2018. The VSO appliance series is a budget friendly infrastructure that supports data storage, backup and disaster recovery applications.

Businesses looking to reduce CapEx and OpEx costs on IT systems can leverage StoneFly VSO appliance series and setup enterprise-level on-premises storage and/or backup and disaster recovery.

The VSO Network Attached Storage (NAS) appliance delivers data services like erasure coding, data encryption, storage snapshots, multi-protocol support and more. The NAS appliance series supports a diverse range of SATA, SAS and SSD disk drive combinations with optional support for high performance RAID controllers.

The VSO backup and disaster recovery appliance also delivers a number of enterprise-level services that ensure faster data backups and recovery – services like self-healing, erasure coding, ransomware protection, synchronous and asynchronous replication, and granular and file-level backups are a part of the backup appliance. Similar to the VSO NAS appliance, the VSO backup appliance also supports various combinations of SATA, SAS and SSD disk drives to support variable enterprise workloads.

The VSO appliance series can also be setup to comply with a number of industry regulations like HIPAA, HITRUST, FedRAMP, CJIS and more.
