The built-in AI automatically prioritizes data sets for parallel transfers based on file size, type, and the number of users accessing them to shape the traffic in a way that optimizes transfer speed and performance.
Files are broken down into smaller data sets (or shards), transferred parallelly and then recombined at the destination. This hash based distributed process amplifies transfer speeds.
Intelligent AI based hashing optimizes the process for speed. StoneFly Migrate does not need to process or store lengthy logs for transfers; this makes it faster than traditional migration software.
Each data shard has individual data integrity hash-checks. In the event of a corrupted shard, only the shard is transferred again from the source instead of the complete file. This saves time and ensures data integrity.

Can I transfer data from any physical NAS to a virtual NAS deployed on VMware or Hyper-V (or any other hypervisor)?
Yes, you can transfer NAS volumes from any physical NAS to any virtual NAS (vNAS).
Supported hypervisors include: VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Citrix or XenServer.
Note: Both NAS appliances have to be on the same subnet.
Can I migrate data from a virtual NAS to another physical or virtual NAS?
Yes, the software supports data transfers for virtual NAS (vNAS) deployed on VMware, and other industry standard hypervisors. You can also opt to transfer NAS volumes from physical to virtual or vice versa.
